About us

Cafe restaurant Calf & Bloom is located on the Singel in the city centre of Amsterdam. You can visit us for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even just for drinks and small bites. Our name originated from the roofed courtyard between Kalverstraat and the Flower market. Designed by Concrete Architectural Associates, our interior serves as the connection between these two popular places and birthed the name Calf & Bloom.

With attentive care and love, we serve you our wide range of coffees, lovely wines, various Amsterdam brewed beers, homemade lemonades and delicious food. Next to lunch and dinner, our spacious restaurant is also enabled with plugged tables that could serve as the perfect workplace with laptops.

Our two terraces are opened throughout the entire year. Located in the Kalverpassage, our inside terrace is suitable for winter or rainy days. For the summer, our outside terrace on the Singelgracht is endowed with sunlight.

Our menu is carefully selected with both creative dishes and bistro classics, like our carpaccio or Caesar salad, our infamous chicken satay, and various burgers including a Beyond Meat vegan burger. For the pizza lovers, we offer a variation originated from the French region Elzas named Flammkuchen. The combination of the thin, crispy crust topped with sour cream, bacon and matured cheese makes this pizza variation worthy to try! To satisfy your sweet tooth, you can indulge into our homemade desserts, including our typically Dutch coconut macaron and brownie.
